9/11 Hanover A Won 22-13. Kenny Miller threw 2 TD passes, to Alex Melendez and Will Cummings. Matt Rea scored on 65 yard run. Won 26-0 QB Chett Joffe ran for 2 TDs. HB Jaquan Horn ran for 1 TD. FB Peter Badgley ran for 1 TD. MLB Nick Orastanio lead D with hard hitting effort. Won 13-6 QB Johnny Shaffer ran for 1 TD and an extra point conversion. David Kalin scored on a 70 yard run. Billy Hadley led the defense with 6 tackles. Won 12-6 White Team HB Nick Watts ran for 2 TDs. QB Mike Badgley completed 4 passes; two each to both Andrew McGrath and Will Daney. DE Lucas Ludgate lead D with big stops behind the line of scrimmage.

Lost 18-0 Maroon Team vs Millburn

9/18 Parsippany A Lost 6-0. The Summit Defense led by Sammy Pietrantuono and Kevin McNany played extremely well in this tight battle. Won 40-0 QB Chet Joffe ran for 2 TDs and passed for 1. HB Ryan Hislop caught 2 passes for TDs from Joffe and QB Griffin Cooper. HB Jaquan Horn ran for 1 TD. FB Peter Badgley ran for one TD. K Tim Yaeger kicked one PAT and ran for 2 conversions. Defense lead by MLB Nick Orastanio, DE Spencer Huston, DE Mike Negron and S Robbie Hugin put up a shutout for Summit.
Won 7-0 vs. Millburn Silver Johnny Shaffer scored the lone TD and conversion after a fabulous 50 yard reverse by Luke Stephens. The defense let up minimal yards thanks to the efforts of Jamie Ogden & Kohl Geibel.

White Team Lost 12-0 In a game dominated by defense Summit's DE Lucas Ludgate, LB Andrew Oristanio, DE John Dugan and DB Justin Gump played tough for all 4 quarters. DB Nick Watts capped off game with hard hitting effort.

Won 12-6 Maroon Team vs Westfield HB Kyree Negron ran for 2 TDs.

9/25 Perth Amboy A Won 14-6 at Perth Amboy. QB's Will Cummings and Pat Huck each led scoring drives. TB Matt Rea had a TD run and WR Alex Melendez scored on a reverse. But, the story of the game was the Defense which had another strong game, to back up the strong running of Rea. Won 30-6 vs. Cranford HB Jaquan Horn 4 TDs. K Tim Yeager 3 PATs. Defense was led by MLB Nick Orisanio and DE Spencer Huston, key interceptions by OLB Logan Jeffries and DB Michael ford. Won 20-18. QB Johnny Shaffer led a dramatic come from behind win in the last 4 minutes. Losing 18-7 a blocked punt led to a David Kalin TD & PAT. With less than a minute to play Shaffer drove 45 yards in 3 plays ending in a 25 yard TD pass to Luke Stephens (2nd of the day). Alex Fiorito led the defense with 8 tackles and shut down Perth Amboy's offense on their last 2 possessions. Won 13-6 White Team vs. Perth Amboy HB Nick Watts 1 TD. QB Mike Badgley 1 TD, Watts ran for conversion, D lead by OLBs Austin Carbone and Tyler Carbone, 2 interceptions by DB Justin Gump.

Won 7-0 Maroon Team vs. Hanover Park. HB Jamie White ran for TD and for the conversion. QB Dillion Confalone offensive player of the game. Entire D awarded for their standout play.
!0/2 Chatham A Lost 28-0 Won 26- 8 HB Ryan Hislop ran for 1 TD, caught a pass from QB Chet Joffe for his 2nd TD, and returned a punt for his 3rd TD. HB Jaquan Horn ran for final TD. K Tim Yager converted early PAT for 2 points. D-line was dominated by DT Mike Stewart. DB Eric Delagado's interecption, OLB Rob Hugin's fumble recovery and Nick Oristanio's hard hitting effort helped Summit to victory over undefeated Chatham. Won 19-12. Johnny Shaffer tossed 2 TD passes of 30 & 34 yards to David Kalin and another for 55 yards to Luke Stephens. Luke Stephens also ran in for a PAT. Geron Crawford led the defense with 11 tackles and Scott Meagher had 7 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Won 7-6 Summit's White and Maroon 5th grade teams combined for win over Chatham. OLB Dillion Confalone stripped the ball from reciever and ran for TD. QB Mike Badgley ran for the 1 pt conversion. Defense was lead by MLB Jamie White, DE Lucas Ludgate and DE John Dugan. DB Kevin O'Malley knocked pass down to finish off Chatham.

10/9 Westfield H cancelled vs. Perth Amboy

Won 12-7. Tommy Celmer ran in a TD from the 2 to open up the scoring in the 2nd quarter. Summit again scored in the 4th to go ahead 12-0 on a 67 yard sweep from David Kalin. The defense was vicious causing 4 fumbles and giving up minimal yards. Fumbles were recovered by Crawford(2), M.Miller & Stadlinger.

Won 13-7 Maroon Team vs. Westfield: Win 13-7 HB Jamie White scored two TDs. QB Dillon Confalone converted one point conversion to HB Kyree Negron. Entire offensive line controlled line of scrimmage all day. Strong effort by entire defensive unit, including big plays in secondary from hard hitting SS No.

Won 25-0 White Team vs. Scotch Plains: QB Mike Badgley scored two TDs. HB Nick Watts ran for one TD, returned an interception for another TD and converted a one point conversion. Key blocks from FB Sam Grewcock and big reception by TE Robert Carbone. Interception by OLB Tyler Carbone. Huge effort by entire D for shutout.

10/16 Berkeley Heights H Tied 8-8. Kevin McNany intercepted a pass and ran it back to the 1 yard line. Matt Rea scored the Summit TD and McNany converted the extra point..

Won 26-6 RB Jaquan Horn ran for three TDs. QB Chet Joffe ran for one. K Tim Yager converted one PAT. D Line controlled line of scrimmage. Defense dominated, with big plays from CB Daniel Troy and DL Jerome M.

Won 25 - 19 After being down 12-6 at halftime and with Johnny Shaffer out of the game with an injury, Summit came from behind with another exciting win. Luke Stephens scored the lone TD of the first half on a 6 yard run. Tommy Celmer and David Kalin led the offense in the 2nd half. Kalin threw a HB option pass to Will Weber for a 65 yard TD strike. Celmer then followed this up with a 85 yard TD pass to Kalin to go ahead by 6. Berkeley Heights scored on the next play to take the lead 19-18. Celmer than hit Kalin again for a 50 yard pass to get to the 1. Celmer then ran the ball over for the game winning TD. The defense was anchored by numerous tackles from Kohl Geibel, Geron Crawford & Alex Fiorito. Stefano Stadlinger had 4 tackles and a timely fumble recovery in the 4th quarter. Won 28-7 - Maroon team QB Dillion Confalone pass to WR Kyree Negron for TD. HB Jamie White ran for conversion. WR Negron ran for TD and for conversion. HB White ran for TD, QB Confalone pass to WR Negron for conversion. QB Confalone ran for TD, HB Sam Weidencopf ran for conversion.

White team lost 13-0.

10/19 Perth Amboy (makeup game for B Team) Won 24-0 HB Jaquon Horn ran for TD; K Tim Yager converted PAT. QB Chet Joffe pass to HB Ryan Hislop for TD, K Michael Stewart PAT. HB Horn ran for TD, spring block by WR Henery Gibson; K Yager PAT.

Summit defense put up shutout lead by strong linbacking from Campbell, Orstanio, Badgley and Jeffries.

10/23 Springfield H Won 22-0 QB Pat Huck scored 2 TD's and TB Matt Rea scored 1.

Won 18-14 with a come from behind victory vs. a strong Springield team. O-Line opened holes for HB Jaquan Horn, who ran for two TDs and caught a pass from QB Chet Joffe for his 3rd TD of the day. QB Joffe completed key passes to HB Ryan Hislop to put Summit in good field position. Enitire Defense came up with big stops including two key interceptions from DB Tim Yager and DB Eric Delgado. P Tim Yager’s long punt on special teams helped Summit roll to voctory. DE Ryan O'Malley played hard before an injury forced an early exit, wish him well to a speedy recovery. Won 13-0 David Kalin threw a 42 yard HB pass to Luke Stephens to take a 6-0 lead in the 1st quarter. Summit didn't score again until the 3rd quarter when Tommy Celmer ran it in from the 19. Celmer then ran off tackle for the PAT to make it 13-0. Alex Fiorito led the defense with 12 tackles followed closely by Geron Crawford's 11. Harry McCreary, who was in Springfield's backfield all day also came up with a fumble. Won 26-0 White Team: QB Mike Badgley ran for three TDs and helped convert two PATs, running for one and completing a pass to TE Will Daney with a nice one handed grab. QB Tyler Carbone ran for one TD. Strong running from FB Sam Grewcock’s ball control offense. Entire Defense put up strong effort for the Summit shutout.

Won 27-12 Maroon vs. Berkeley Heights. HB Jamie White ran hard all day, scoring two TDs and three PATs. QB Dillion Confalone and HB Kyree Negron each scored one TD. LB Symanski had a key interception to help lead Summit to victory.
10/30 Cranford A Lost 9-6 It was a tight defensive battle . Matt Rea scored the Summit TD.

Lost 20-10 vs. Westfield. HB Jaquan Horn ran for one TD. PK Tim Yager converted 2 point PAT with perfect kick following executed snap by LS Spencer Huston and hold by FB Pete Badgley. Tough Defense lead by DE Mike Negron and DT Mike Stewart who was credited with 2 point saftey for Summit. Tied 0-0 Summit's offense was held to under 50 yard on the day. Luckily the defense came to play. Alex Fiorito led the defense with 14 tackles while Stefano Stadlinger, Geron Crawford and Billy Hadley had 17 combined sacks and tackles between them. Matt Miller's fumble recovery and Geron Crawford's interception helped keep Cranford away from the end-zone.
Lost 26-13 to Cranford.Summit’s White and Maroon teams combined for hard fought game at Cranford. HB Jamie White ran for one TD. FB Mike Badgley ran for one TD, and converted ensuing one point conversion. The Hilltoppers no quit defense kept Summit in the long battle.
11/2 Union Won 12-7. Matt Rea scored 1st TD, that was set up by 45 yard pass to WR Matt Stephens from QB Pat Huck. Sammy Pietrantuono capped the other drive with a TD run.
11/6 New Providence H Won 18-8 OLB Brian Feeney returned an interception for a TD and TB's Sammy Pietrantuono and Matt Rea ran for TD's to cap off the 8th grade season.

Tough 4th down goal line stand lead by Summit LBs Logan Jeffries, Nick Orastanio, Sam Compton, Pete Badgley and D Line Spencer Huston, Mike Stewart, Mike Negron, Ryan O'Malley and DBs Mike Ford, Chet Joffe, Jackson Stuckey, Eric Delgado and host of Summit defenders.

Summits B Team finished the regular season with an overall 7-2 record and scored a total of 216 points. Won 7-6 Summit clinched 1st place in the National Division with a win over a tough New Providence team. After a scoreless 1st half, Summit came out determined in the third quarter. After a Tommy Celmer 9 yard surge to the 3 yard line Luke Stephens swept left for the first score of the game. Stephens then scored the PAT to take a 7-0 lead. New Providence scored midway through the 4th but Summit's defense kept them out of the endzone for the PAT and secured the win. Highlights of Summit's defense was led by fumble recoveries by Billy Hadley & Thomas Lackaye and an interception by Andrew Miller. Leading tacklers were Geron Crawford, Harry McCreary & Billy Hadley.

Summits C Team finished the regular season first in the National Division with an overall 8-0-1 record scoring a total of 116 points. Final regular season statistics as compiled from SSORG wire include: HB Luke Stephens (38) points; HB David Kalin (37); HB Tommy Celmer (20); QB Johnny Shaffer (14); TE Will Weber (7).

White Team Won 18-0 QB Mike Badgley scored three TDs behind great blocking from Watts, Grewcock, Ioni, A. Carbone, Huston, Chase, Orstanio, Daney, Vitti, Ludgate and R. Carbone. Entire D put up strong effort for the shutout, including stong play from T. Carbone, J. Dugan, J.. Gump, K. O'Malley, A. McGrath and a host of Summit defenders.

Maroon Team Won 19-12 vs. Staten Island HB Jamie White scored two TDs and HB Kyree Negron scored one TD. QB Dillion Confalone completed the ensuing PAT with a pass to HB Sam Widencopf for the key one point conversion. Summit Defense stopped high powered Staten Island offense lead by Confalone, White, Sayre, Bredahl, George, Killian and a host of Summit defenders.

Summits D Teams finished the season with an overall combined 12-4 record and scored a total of 206 points. 11/13 Playoffs Won 16-13 vs. Westfield

The Summit 7th Grade team executed a solid game plan with ball control offense and outstanding defense to upset previously unbeaten Westfield to win the divisional playoff game and advance to the NJSYFL Super bowl.

HB Jaquon Horn ran for Summit's first TD following lead blocking by OL Joe Lenz, PK Tim Yager converted the ensuing 2 point PAT. Summit's game winning TD came on a "flea-flicker", initiated on snap from C Max Munoz to FB Pete Badgley and handoff to QB Chet Joffe who completed the TD pass in the end zone to RB Ryan Hislop to take the lead. PKTim Yager converted the final 2 points PAT for the Hilltoppers. Summit's entire defensive unit played tough D all day with big plays from OLB Logan Jeffries, including an interception and fumble recovery on a failed Westfield lateral pass. MLB Nick Orstanios final game clinching interception sealed the victory for Summit.

Won vs. New Providence 14-8.

The Summit 7th Grade B team won the 2005 NJSYFL Super Bowl avenging their final regular season loss by beating New Providence with a total team effort. HB Ryan Hislop scored Summit's first TD in regulation; PK Tim Yager converted the ensuing 2 point PAT. Summit's went ahead in the third overtime on a HB Jaquon Horn TD following a huge pass play from QB Chet Joffe to WR Michael Haines. In the end Summit proved defense wins championships with outstanding play from D-Line Mike Negron, Mike Stewart, Joe Lenz, Ryan O'Malley, Jerome Madigral and Spencer Huston; Line Backers Logan Jeffries, Nick Orstanio, Sam Compton and Pete Badgley; and DBs Michael Ford, Griffin Cooper, Tim Yager and Eric Delgado. Congratulations Hilltoppers on a Great Championship season.
