Summit ran into a Mendham buzzsaw. Mendham dominated every aspect of the game. They controlled both the offensive and defensive backboards. Summit, who had been averaging 30 rebounds per game was held to only 10. Mendham's passes were rapid and sharp and their shooting was on target.
Mendham ran up an 18-10 1st quarter lead. Expanded that lead to 12 at the half and was never in any danger for the rest of the game. The best Summit could do was to close to within 7 points midway through 2nd quarter. It was all downhill from there.
The only high light in the game was the shooting of Chris Kehoe who scored his season high 16 points. Summit managed to get to the free throw line only once in the entire game, while Mendham sank 16 of their 19 attempts.
