The 05-06 season got off to a good start as Summit led Morris Hills throughout the game. Summit built the lead in each quarter and with about 3 minutes left in the game held a commanding 49-33 lead. Morris Hills rallied in the last minutes to make the game appear closer than it really was. Summit played tough pressure defense and scored lots of points off transition. The only weak spot was Summit's abysmal free throw shooting, hitting only 7 of 18 attempts.
James Johnson led the scoring with 17 points and both Chris Kehoe and Josh Sussman were in double digits with 14 and 10 points respectively. Tim Donnally moved from last years JV squad to starting at center. He has really worked hard during the off season and has really matured. He led the team in rebounding with 14.
