Summit led from wire to wire, but the victory was a bit harder than it should have been. Summit's first quarter featured some fine team basketball with good passing and some great assists, as a result Summit ran to a 21-12 lead, led by James Johnson's 12 points. However, things deteriorated significantly in the 2nd quarter and Summit was outscored 16-8 and Summit's lead was cut to a single point at the half.
Summit regained its composure in the 2nd half an had an eleven point lead by the end of the 3rd quarter. Summit held that lead thoughout the 4th quarter. Josh Sussman and Johnson both contributed 8 points in the 2nd half. Johnson led all the scorers with 20 points. Sussman scored 13 points and did a terrific job of rebounding with 15.
