However, Summit recovered, and the score was 23-13 at the end of the first quarter. The Summit rally continued and late in the second period Summit pulled even at 35-35. Weequahic hit the last 6 points of the half to make it 41-35. In the 2nd half Weequahic steadily pulled away to win by 15 points.
Josh Sussman and James Johnson were the outstanding players for Summit. Sussman had a double double with a game leading 19 points and 12 rebounds. Johnson contributed 17 points. Chris Kehoe had a strong defensive game with 11 points and 10 reboounds. Taylor Simpson, with 12 points, was also in double digits. Summit's foul shooting continued to be a weak link as they connected on only 7 for 13 attempts.
Weequahic's Keon Lawerence was unstoppable as he scored 48 points
