The boys and girls track team kicked off the season in fine fashion at the Greater Middlesex County Track Conference Invitational. Summit's harriers competed against nearly 50 schools and took home a total of 37 medals. The following relays placed in the top 6.

Women: Distance Medley Relay - 6th -to qualify for the Nike National Championship a time of 12:30 was required. The women fell just short with a time of 12:38.
Samantha Lee led off (3:46) in the 1200m leg, Kayla McDonald (63.5) in the 400M leg, Alex Reid (2:27.9) in the 800M leg, Paige Boehmcke (65:18.5*), anchored the 1600M leg. Their time is the 10th fastest in the state thus far.
4x400M Relay - 6th (4:09 - Samantha Lee (60.5*), Kayla McDonald (61.8), Paige Boehmcke (62.9*), and Susan Scavone (62.9)
Men: 4x800M Relay - 9th - Competing against some of the best teams in New York and New Jersey, the Summit men set a new school record with a time of 8:16.25, bettering the 1976 time of 8:17.8.
Josh Allocco led off (2:05.6*), Stephen Hankinson (2:01.0*) moved the team from fifth to first in their heat, Roma Kormaksky (2:06.6*) finished with a blistering kick down the homestretch, Garrison Butler anchored (2:02.5*)

Stephen Hankinson broke his own school record in the 1600 by finishing 10th overall with a time of 4:21.12.
Women:
4x400M Relay - Summit qualified for the meet for the first time since 1993. Summit ran 4:06.0 breaking the old record of 4:07.7 that was set at the 1993 Meet of Champions. Samantha Lee led off ( 61.9), followed by Paige Boehmcke (63.3), Kayla McDonald (60.5), and Susan Scavone (60.9).
800M Run - Samantha Lee (2:16.9) finished 12th
Shot Put - Patrice Chatman (37' 10.5") finished 9th overall in the shot put. in the 800.
