Sat 04/01 TBARoxbury AWon 10-8 Summit was trailing Roxbury by a score of 2-3 at halftime. During an explosive second half, Katie Cooper initiated the first of many unanswered goals by Summit. Gina Scioscia buried 5 shots and added an assist. Also scoring for the Hilltoppers were Kathleen Lyons, Rachel Ardington, Callie McGeough and Sal Baker. (reporting by Gretchen Lasda) Tie 6-6 The Summit Girls JV Lacrosse team opened up their season with a solid performance. Summit and Roxbury tied 6-6 in a well fought match. Summit scoring was led by Amy Scioscia who had 3 goals. Caroline Peck chipped in 2 and Emily Steffen added 1. The Summit defense was spearheaded by goalie Allie Mehner who had 12 saves. Molly Hayley intercepted 3 passes for the Summit defense. The Summit midfield of Courtney Kern, Meghan O'Hearn, and Emily Steffen, did a fine job controlling the midfield and transitioning the ball.  
Mon 04/03 4:OOPMWest Morris Central HWon 10-8 Sara Bloom's 14 saves "between the pipes" on Monday helped Summit get their first win against West Morris in over 6 years. Battling the wind and the rain, Gina Scioscia was able to score 4 goals. Katie Cooper scored 3 goals and had 2 assists. Kathleen Lyons scored 2 goals and Tara O'Malley scored one.  (reporting by Gretchen Lasda)Tie 3-3 On a rain soaked, cold and windy field, the Summit JV girls tied West Morris Central. Despite the difficult conditions, the Summit squad played well. Caroline Peck scored 2 goals for Summit, Courtney Kern scored one and Danielle Radutzky had a fine assist. Allie Mehner played an excellent game in goal as the Summit defense limited the scoring opportunities for WMC. (reporting by Coach Woods)
04/06 4PM Morristown Won 14-2 Gina Scioscia scored 6 goals the lead the Summit offense. Katie Cooper and Sarah Baker each added 2 goals. Tie 8-8 Summit's JV Girls fell behind early in the game and had to fight their way back. Starting half-way through the first half, the girls picked up their intensity,and a few ground balls along the way,to bring them back into the game. Trailing 5-3 at halftime, the squad fought back valiently. Elena Facchinei scored the first goal of her career off a fine feed from Lexi Zalk. Courtney Kern caught fire and scored the next 3 goals and Facchinei added another to put Summit ahead by one with 7 minutes remaining. The Summit defense did a fine holding a hot Morristown offense scoreless, but with 30 seconds left Morristown scored to tie the score. Also scoring for SHS earlier in the game were Caroline Peck, Molly Hayley and Lexi Zalk. Also assisting on Summit goals were Danny Radutzky, Amy Scioscia, Salk, and Peck. Allie Mehner did outstanding job in goal, especially in the last few minutes of the game and finished with 8 saves.(reporting by Coach Woods)
Sat 04/08 TBARandolph HWon 14-8 Gina Scioscia continued on a scroing tear as she netted 8 goals. This brings her total to 23 goals in the first four games. Katie Cooper added 3 goals for the HilltoppersWon 4-2 The war paint by Revlon that the girls wore did the trick! Summit logged its first victory through wind, rain, hail, and snow. With the scored tied 2-2 at halftime, the Summit squad came out and took charge of the second half. Middies Courtney Kern, Caroline Peck,and Meghan Delp did a great job controlling the draws and the midfield with the help of defenders Melissa Washkau, Adelle Molina, Maggie Lawrence, and Cassie Huck. The attack of Amy Scioscia, Liz Curtin, Danny Radutzky, Jasmine Owarish-Gross did an excellent job maintaining possession especially during the final minutes of the game. Caroline Peck had two goals and Danny Rudutzky and Meghan Delp had one each. Scioscia and Curtin each had an assist. Once again, Allie Mehner did a fine job in  (reporting by Coach Woods)
Mon 04/10 4:OOPMMendham ALost 14-3 Gina Scioscia scored all three Summit Goals as Summit took its first lossLost 13-5 In a bucolic setting on a sunlit afternoon, the Summit Girls JV Lax team lost to a well disciplined team from Mendham. Summit trailed 5-2 at halftime and could not close the gap in the 2nd half. Amy Scioscia led the Summit scoring with 2 goals, Courtney Kern, Molly Haley, and Emily Steffen had one each. Liz Curtin had 2 assists. Summit had some difficulty controlling the midfield and looks forward to a rematch later in the season.  (reporting by Coach Woods)
Thu 04/13 4PM Chatham H Lost 9-7 Chatham broke open a 6-6 game with 2 quick goals. Gina Scioscia again led Summit with 4 goals The Summit and Chatham JV teams look forward to a rematch as lightening cancelled the 2nd half of their game. Summit led early in the game 3-1 but then fell behind 7-3 at halftime when the game was called off.

Liz Curtin scored Summit's first goal off a fine pass from Amy Scioscia. Molly Haley and Courtney Kern also scored for Summit.(reporting by Coach Woods)

Mon 04/17 4:OOPMLivingston HWon 12-2 Gina Scioscia again led Summit's scoring with 4 goals and 1 assist. Katie Cooper had 2 assists and 2 goals. Summit broke a 2 game losing streak and is now 5-2Lost 6-5 The Summit gals got off to a slow start in the first few minutes against Livingston today and trailed 4-1 at halftime. Summit came out ready to play in the 2nd half as the defense and midfield controlled the tempo of the game and shut the Livingston offense down for the next 16 minutes. Summit took a 5-4 lead with less than 7 minutes to play,but Livingston took the lead back with a little over 2 minutes to go.Summit scoring was led by Courtney Kern and Emily Steffen who had 2 goals each and Megan Delp who added one on an assist from Kern. Allie Mehner played well in goal with 8 saves and cleared the ball well to Caroline Peck, Liz Curtin and Amy Scioscia. (reporting by Coach Woods)
Thu 04/20 4:OOPMWest Essex HS AWon 10-9 Meaghan Carey scored her 2nd goal with less than 5 minutes to play to put Summit ahead 10-8. West Essex, ranked #8 by the Star-Ledger, fought back with a goal but the Summit defense held on for the big win. Gina Scioscia had 4 goals for the day and Katie Cooper contriibuted 3 goals. Sara Bloom made 10 saves.  Lost 8-7 After a first half that is best forgotten except for 2 fine goals by Emily Steffen and one by Caroline Peck, the Summit squad put it together in the second half. Trailing 7-3 at halftime, the girls had to make a decision for themeselves: give up, or give it their all? They valiently chose the latter! Summit outscored West Essex 4 to 1 in the second half. The defense worked together to shut down the West Essex offense. Courtney Kern scored the first goal of the second half to bring Summit within three. Lexi Zalk added another off a feed from Elena Facchinei. Amy Scioscia scored to bring Summit within 1. Then with 57 seconds left on the clock, Scioscia rolled the right side of the crease and drilled a shot into the upper lefthand corner of the net tying the game at 7. West Essex scored at the buzzer. Nonetheless, the Summit walked off the field heads held high- knowing they'd played a fine second half. Congratulations Varsity on your fine WIN!! (reporting by Coach Woods)
Sat 04/22 11AM Columbia H Won 10-5 Playing in a windy rain, Summit built a narrow 5-3 lead at half time. But Summit got on a roll in the 2nd half. Gina Scioscia got it started with a goal and then fed Rachel Ardington who made the score 7-3. Scioscia scored again and then took a great assist from Kathleen Lyons to score her 5th goal and make it a 10-3 game.
Tue 04/25 4:OOPMChatham ALost 15-4 Gina Scioscia scored 3 of Summit's 4 goalsLost 11-5 Summit trailed 7-1 at halftime and managed to improve their play during the second half. Scoring for the Hilltoppers in the first half were Caroline Peck off a fine pass from Amy Scioscia and Stephanie Marks. During the second half, Emily Steffen added another goal and Courtney Kern chipped in two.  
Fri 04/28 4:OOPMRoxbury HWon 10-7 Summit held a slim 3-2 lead the half. Katie Cooper helped Summit pull away by scoring 3 of her 4 goals in the second half. Gina Scioscia scored 3 times and had 3 assists.  Won 9-3 The Summit JV Girls came out to play today! Roxbury got off to an early 2-0 lead but was then shut down by a fine Summit defense led by Molly Hayley, Cassie Huck, Liz Curtin, and Lexi Zalk. Allie Mehner played and excellent game in goal with 7 saves. Summit began to take control when Emily Steffen scored her first of two goals off a draw. Elena Facchinei and Megan Delp both contributed two goals. Courtney Kern and Caroline Peck both drove to the goal and scored unassisted. Amy Scioscia chipped in one off a fine pass from Emily Steffen. The Summit girls controlled the mid-field with aggressive offensive and defensive play. Summit girls demonstrated both their skills and determination in today's victory. They also had fun!  
Mon 05/01 4:OOPMWest Morris Central AWon 10-6 Summit defeated West Morris Central for the 2nd time this season. Sara Bloom made 14 saves and Katie Cooper led the scoring with 4 goals. Gina Scioscia scored 3 goals  Lost 6-2 Summit had a difficult time getting the offense and mid-field tranistion in gear today in their 6 to 2 loss to West Morris Central. After allowing a few quick goals, the Summit defense got more aggressive and held WMC to two goals in the second half. Allie Mehner had 6 saves in goal. Scoring for Summit were Caroline Peck and Amy Scioscia. 
Thu 05/04 4:OOPMMorristown HWon 14-5 Gina Scioscia had a big game, scoring 6 goals and adding 2 assists. Tara O'Malley and Katie Cooper each scored 3 times.Won 9-8 The Summit Girls JV came out and won a well fought game today at Metro Homes Field. Having tied this team earlier in the season, Summit came out determined to win. Scoring in the first half were Courtney Kern, Molly Hayley off a fine feed from Liz Curtin, Amy Scioscia, and Caroline Peck who added her 2nd goal of the game with 11 seconds left in the half to give Summit a one goal lead going into halftime. Summit took control of the draw at the begining of the 2nd half and Meghan O'Hearn quick-sticked a goal on a feed from Scioscia. Morristown scored to keep it a one goal game but Courtney Kern added 3 goals in 2nd half, the last on a feed from Elena Facchinei with 6 minutes to go to give Summit the win. The Summit defense of Melissa Washkau, Molly Haley, Adelle Molina, Danielle Radutzky, Cassie Huck, Maggie Lawrence, did a fine job of containing Morristown's offense in the 2nd half. Great effort from all the girls and an excellent win!
Mon 05/08 4:OOPMRandolph AWon 11-5  Gina Scioscia continued to rack up points as she scored 5 goals and added 2 assists. Katie Cooper scored 3 goals.Won 5-2 Summit took an early lead and held on to it for the duration of the game. The defense led by goalie Allie Mehner did an excellent job working together to shut down Randolph. Molly Hayley, Melissa Washkau, Adele Molina, Dani Radutzky, and Cassie Huck collapsed on the Randolph players entering the 8 meter area. Mehner had 7 saves and was able to clear the ball beyond the restraining line. Summit scoring was led by Caroline Peck who had two goals, the second of which came off an excellent pass from Amy Scioscia. Megan Delp drove through a crowd to score. Lexi Zalk rolled the crease to score the 4th goal of the game and congratulations to Ariel Lefkowitz who iced the game with an 8 meter goal, the first of her career!  
Thu 05/11 4:OOPMMendham HLost 15-10 to an Unbeaten (14-0) Mendham squad. Gina Scioscia scored 5 goals for Summit and Katie Cooper added 3 goals.  Lost 10-3 While the Summit squad played good defense in the first half, it had trouble transitioning the ball and controlling the time of possession. Summit got off to a slow start and trailed 4-0 at half-time. In the second half Courtney Kern scored on an 8 meter shot, Adelle Molina scored on pass from Caroline Peck, and Molly Haley added Summit's 3rd goal. In the last 7 minutes of play, Mendham added 4 goals to put the game out of reach.  
Mon 05/15 4:OOPMColumbia AWon 13-11 Gina Scioscia led Summit with 8 goals. In the process she tied the Summit record of 195 career goals, set by Liz Gamble in 2003. Katie Cooper added 3 goals.  Won 7-5 Against a stormy sky at Underhill Field, Summit beat Columbia 7-5. The Summit midfield of Caroline Peck, Courtney Kern, Meghan O'Hearn and Lexi Zalk controlled the draws and thus the tempo of the game. Summit scoring was led by Amy Scioscia who had 2 goals. Elena Facchinei scored Summit's first goal on a roll. Summit's passing showed great improvement. Liz Curtin added the second goal off a fine feed from Kern. Curtin also had 3 assists, and Meghan O'Hearn had one assist. Molly Haley, Caroline Peck and Courtney Kern each chipped in one goal. The Summit defense of Melissa Washkau, Adelle Molina, Dani Radutzky, Cassie Huck, and Molly Haley did a fine job of containing Columbia's offense. Allie Mehner did a fine job in goal for the Hilltoppers making 6 saves and clearing the ball well.  
Wed 05/17 4:OOPMLivingston AWon 11-10 Gina Scioscia scored her 4th goal of the game with about 3 minutes left to win the game. Katie Cooper had 3 goals. Scioscia has now broken the all time scoring record (199 goals) previously held by Liz Gamble (195 goals) Won 10-8 On the turf at Livingston, the Summit Girls JV won today in an exciting match-up. Summit had lost by one goal in their last meeting with the Lancers. Trailing by one goal at halftime, the Summit squad came out and outscored Livingston 6-3 in the second half. Courtney Kern, Caroline Peck, Lexi Zalk, and Liz Curtin each scored twice for the Hilltoppers. Amy Scioscia and Elena Facchinei both added goals on crease rolls. The Summit midfield again controlled the draws with excellent efforts by Meghan O'Hearn and Maggie Lawrence. The Summit defense of Melissa Washkau, Molly Haley, Adelle Molina, Dani Radutzky, and Cassie Huck gave great support to goalie Allie Mehner who had another fine game with 6 saves. Megan Delp, Emily Bebout, Ariel Lefkowitz, and Christina Holevas contributed to the Summit offense with their determination on ground balls and solid passing and catching. This team has made tremendous strides after beginning the season with a 1-4-3 record. Summit is now 6-6-3. Congratulations to all the girls on an outstanding team effort and a great season!

05/24 Newark Academy NJSIAA North B Won 11-2 Gina Scioscia continued on a roll as she scored 4 goals to increasing her career total to 202. Katie Cooper duplicated Scioscia's effort with 4 goals. Rachel Ardington contributed 2 goals. Sara Bloom had 6 saves in goal.

Sat 05/27 Mountain Lakes NJSIAA North B  North Lost 13-12 Summit fell behind 13-8 in the 2nd Half but started a furious rally that saw Summit score 4 consecutive goals to close to within one goal with 3:37 to go. Summit's final shot on goal came with 2:20 left, but it was stopped by the Mountain Lakes Goalie. Mountain Lakes took possession and killed off the clock. In the closing minutes Katie Cooper took a check to the head and play had to stopped for 10 minutes.

Gina Scioscia closed out her fantasic Summit Lacrosse Career with 7 goals. Katie Cooper had 2 goals and Nicole Longworth, Sarah Baker and Tara O'Malley eace score once. Sara Bloom had 12 saves.
