Friday night (01/05) Samantha Lee set the school record in the 1000M when she ran 3:13.5

Fri 9/13 Jersey City Armory and Drew University The track squad split up and performed at two different locations.

At the Jesrsey City Armory the boys Varsity Distance Medley won and shattered a twenty-one year old record by running 11:11. The old records was 11:18 set in 1985. Roma Korkmazsky (3:33), Troy Cromwell (54.8), Garrison Butler (2:12.8), and Stephen Hankinson (4:30) ran on the first place relay.

At Drew University at the Cliff Back Invitational, Patrice Chapmen broke her own record in the shot put with a heave of 36' 9". That is the second time this week she was set a new record. In the 600M run, Samantha Lee set her second indoor record by running 1:42.8. The old record was 1:47 set by Caroline Mannaerts in 2004.

Wed 01/18 Valentine Invitational Winter Track had another successful meet in their final tune-up before the State Relay Championship. Patrice Chapman won the girls shot put and Spencer Scott placed fourth in the boys competition. One the track, Susan Scavone placed 4th in the 55m

Two new school records were set. Samantha Lee broke her own record in the 1000m by running 3:11.57, a two second improvement. And Stephen Hankinson also broke the 1000m mark with a run of 2:41.76. The previous record was 2:43.9 by Fred Lumberto.

Wed 02/01 4:OOPMNYC Armory A The winter track team had a spectacular meet last night at the New York City Armory's Metropolitan Invitational.

Women:
Shot Put - Patrice Chatman continued her stellar senior season by placing 3rd

4x800M team of Samantha Lee, Paige Boehmcke, Rebecca Velez, and Sarah Boak placed 6th overall.

4x200M An all underclassmen foursome of Susan Scavone, Kayla McDonald, Julia Espy, and Kristin Ng established a new school record with a time of 1:54.9

Men:
4x800M - Stephen Hankinson, Roma Korkmazsky, Josh Allocco, and Garrison Butler combined for a time of 8:28 smashing the existing school record, set in 1986, by 22 seconds.

Mon 02/06 4:OOPMNYC Armory A Congratulations to the track team as they continue their successful season. Last night at the Varsity Classic in NYC four more school records were set.

200M - Susan Scavone blazed to a new school record with a time of 27.0

800M - Stephen Hankinson 2:01.7

Shot Put - Spencer Scott improved on his own school record in the shot put with a heave of 46' 5"

Triple Jump - Garrison Butler soared to a record with a leap of 34'-2".

Next up is the NJ Meet of Champions this sunday at princeton's jadwin gym @ 9am.

Tue 02/283:30PM70th Annual Eastern States Championships @NYC Armory A

A meet with competitors from the states of Maine to Virginia.

Mile Run - 9th - Stephen Hankinson 4:29.
800M - 9th - Samantha Lee 2:17.6 (her fourth Summit indoor record.)

Lee broke the previous mark set by all-America runners Theresa Gschwind and Ellen Eckert of 1982. Lee's time also qualified her for the national championships that will be held next weekend. Lee holds the Summit indoor records for 400, 600, 800, 1000. 

Sun 3/12 National Scholastic Indoor Championship, NYC Samantha Lee improved her school record in the 800. Lee finished 17th overall out of 48 competitors from throughout the United States and Canada. Her time of 2:17.25 is a .4 improvement from her previous personal best.
