Mon 04/09 4:00PMParsippany A Won 4-1 Shawn Hillas pitched a complete game 3- hitter to lead Summit to a 4-1 opening day victory. Summit scored on a few defensive lapses by Parsippany in the top of the first to take a 2-0 lead. Connor Kastenbaum had a big up the gap double in the 7th to give Summit an extra run.

Fine defense by Chris George at second base (5 assists) and a very good catch by Matt Rea in the left/center alley helped the Hillas.However, the day belonged to Hillas as he pitched a great game.

Wed 04/11 4:00PMChatham H

Won 9-4   Griffin Dottle pitched  a complete game 5 hitter for the freshman. Some walks and a soild hit by Pat Birosak gave Summit a 4-0 lead, but Chatham answered with 4 runs to tie it. A big 2 out hit by Jay Crisfield gave Summit a 5-4 lead. Summit scored 4 runs in the bottom of sixth to open the game up 9-4. However, again the game belong to the pitcher Griffith Dottle as he pitched the second complete game of the season for Coach Horn.

Lost 4-3 Mendham push across a run in the bottom of the seventh to break a 3-3 tie. The 4-3 loss was the first of the season for the freshman.

Jay Crisfield provided a fine pitching effort for Coach Horn who has yet had to go to the bullpen for relief help. 

Mon 04/23 4:00PMMorris Hills A

Lost 11-2 Morris hills behind a two-run home run in the first inning over the fence never looked back as they beat the young Hilltoppers 11-2. Pat Huck drove in both Summit runs with a sac fly and a ripped hit up the middle. Jay Crisfield made some very nice plays at shortstop and Matt Rea made a very good catch back at the fence.

Tue 04/23 4:00PM West Essex H

Lost 13-1 West Essex beat the young Hilltoppers. Pat Birosak and Chris George had the Summit hits.

Wed 04/25 4:00PMMendham H

Won 7-5 Shawn Hillas picked up his second win of the season. Shawn went the distance and only gave up runs in two of the seven innings. Mendham took the lead in the top of the first, scoring three runs. Matt Rea had two hits and scored the first two runs for Summit, narrowing the score to 3-2. Sam Taggart had a double driving in 2 runs allowing Summit to go into the seventh inning leading 7-3.

Thu 04/26 4:00PM Hanover Park A

Lost 14-4 Hanover Park overpowered Summit. Matt Rea had 2 hits to lead the Summit attack and Chris George made an outstanding play at second base on a linedrive.

Mon 04/30 4:00PMParsippany H

Won 7-6 Two outstanding defensive plays in the 7th and 8th innings helped the freshman win. The first, a line drive caught by the pitcher Jay Crisfield who wheeled and threw to Chris George at second to double off the Parsippany lead off hitter in the seventh. Then in the top of the eighth, a deep hit into left center by the lead off Parsippany hitter who tried to stretch it into a triple.  A perfect throw from left fielder Mike Hoffman to SS Connor Kastenbaum who then threw to 3b Pat Birosak to just get the Parsippany runner out at third. Matt Rea delivered his second hit of the game in the bottom of the 8th with the bases loaded to drive in the winning run. Jay Crisfield also had two hits and got the win in relief.

Tue 05/01 4PM Parsippany Hills H Won 8-5 Backstop Garrett Lerner, who has provided solid defense all season, got two hits along with Pat Birosak's two hits, one hitting the top of the left field fence at Memorial Field for a triple, paced the young Hilltoppers offense. Pat Birosak pitch 6 innings to notch his first win.

Lost 11-2 Hanover Park overpowered the Freshman. Pat Birosak and Sam Taggart had the RBI hits for the Hilltoppers.

Mon 05/07 4:00PMParsippany Hills A Lost 12-11 Parsippany Hills edged Summit in an exciting game. Chris George walked 5 times and scored 4 runs as Matt Rea and Jay Crisfield had 3 hits each in the losing effort. Summit was down 12-4 and rallied to a 12-11 score before falling.
Tue 05/08 4PM New Providence

Lost 12-11 Pat Birosak hit a 3-run homerun and a RBI double along with George Plaza’s RBI double high off the Right Field Fence (behind the High School) to lead the Summit attack. Summit again rallied to narrow the lead to 12-11 before losing.

Wed 05/09 4:00PMDover A Won 20-2 A complete team effort as Summit beat Dover in a 5 inning shortend game 
Sat West Essex Lost 8-7 Pat Birosaks 3 hits led Summit to a 7-6 lead into the bottom of the Seventh. West Essex then scored 2 runs to edge Summit in a well played game. 
Mon 05/14 4:00PMMorris Hills H Won 2-1 In a classic pitching duel between the Morris Hills Picher and Pat Birosak, Summit pushed accross a run in the bottom of the seventh to nip Morris Hills 2-1. Matt Rea started the game by walking and stealing second, a two-out clutch hit by Pat Birosak gave Summit a 1-0 lead. Morris hills then scored a run to tie it untill the bottom of the seventh. Jay Crisfields 1 out hit and Pat Huck's bunt single, with Morris Hills then commiting errors on the play, resulted in the winning run. Jay Crisfield provide fine base running on the final play to score the winning run. Sam Raab made two outstanding plays at third. But the player of the game was Pat Birosak who pitched an outstanding game versus a very fine team.
Thu 05/17 Chatham

Won 17-3 Sam Taggart's base hit gave Summit an early lead and the young Hilltoppers never looked back in route to a 17-3 win Over Chatham. Jay Crisfield notched his 3rd win of the season.
