Chatham, coming off a 17 game winning streak, was too strong a team to hold down and they answered with a 10-3 run to end down 14-10. Chris Kehoe got into early foul trouble and was forced to spend most of the 2nd quarter on the bench. Chatham pulled even in the 2nd quarter and the half ended tied at 25-25.The early minutes of the 3rd quarter were seesaw, but as the quarter went on Chatham's height and shot making skills began to wear Summit down. The quarter ended with Summit behind 42-31. The final eight minutes were more of the same as Chatham raced to a 22 point victory.
Chatham dominated the back boards at both ends and limited Summit to only 16 rebounds. Travis Marchell was Summit's high scorer with 12 points.
