This should probably have been an easy victory for Summit, but it wasn't. Summit seemed incapable of taking care of the ball. As a result it was almost impossible to keep count of the number of turnovers due to sloppy ball handling. However, Summit was able to survive a bad outing and picked up the win, getting back to .500 ball.
Summit led by 4 at the 1st quarter but fell behind at the half 23-21. Summit re-established a 36-33 lead going into the 3rd quarter. The Hilltoppers hung on to win by 8 points as Chris Kehoe netted 6 points in the quarter, Tim Donnally added 2 and Adolfo Arietta came off the bench to add 3 key points.
Kehoe led the scoring with 14 points. Donnally contributed 12 points and Travis Marchell scored 10. Donnally had a huge night under rim, pulling down 15 rebounds and chalking up his second consecutive double-double. |
