In an unusual game where the Lady Hilltoppers only led for about twenty seconds all game, Summit showed a lot of heart and a never give up attitude and stormed to a last second win over the host team Millburn in their holiday tournament.  Summit really struggled to get on track early against Millburn's 2-3 zone and trailed 4-8 at the end of the first quarter, but began to find their shooting touch in the second as Danielle Scott, who finished with a game high 13, found her range underneath on some nice assists from Melissa Scott and Alex Reid, and Katelyn Allocco contributed 4 points in the half  Some good shooting by Millburn kept their 4 point lead intact, and only a monster third quarter from Shannon Murphy with 6 and Scott with 5 kept Summit close by the end of the third.  But as has been their pattern, Summit found another gear in the fourth quarter and began to chip away at the lead, going ahead briefly at 33-32. Danielle Allocco saved her best for the fourth, scoring all 5 of her points in the quarter, including a great three point play.  Some inopportune fouls and Millburn's deadly accuracy from the line helped the Millers pull away to a 40-37 lead.  But a terrific full court drive by Jenna Wilson, who finished with 8, laying it up in traffic brought the Hilltoppers to within one. Summit again turned the ball over, but quickly stole it for a lay up that inexplicably fell out and Summit fouled Millburn's best player who went to the line for 2 shots.  She had made almost all her free throws all night, but the first one was off the mark, giving Summit hope with only a 2 point deficit with 25 seconds left.  Summit brought the ball up and worked a three point shot from the corner, which was long, but Murphy got a crucial rebound and with two girls draped on her found Megan Osmulski on the right side with 5 seconds left.  The senior forward, displaying a mature calm as she has all season, stepped up and lofted a 28 footer with time ticking down, and found nothing but net as the horn sounded and the large Summit fans in attendance let out a mighty roar for an improbable victory.
