Summit continued their winning ways, running their win streak to 4, with a resounding 50-31 thumping of Morris Hills tonight. Summit got off to an excellent start with a swarming defense that resulted in steals and baskets by Jamie Osmulski and Alex Reid, and then Danielle Scott took over, hitting 4 buckets in a row to widen the lead. But Summit let MH creep back in the game with two late miscues on turnovers, which has plagued the Lady Hilltoppers of late. The second quarter saw little scoring as both teams turned the ball over and missed their shots, but Summit came out on fire in the third. Whatever Coach said to them did the trick because the Lady Hilltoppers played their best quarter of basketball since the Governor Livingston game. With Jenna Wilson slashing down the middle for drives, or Jamie Osmulski keying fast breaks with one of her 5 steals, or Candy Marchell putting back rebounds for scores, Summit increased the pressure all over the court. Katelyn Allocco made two real strong moves to the basket to get free for baskets from the right side, and her 5 points in the quarter staked Summit to a 39-20 lead.
Reid finished with 4 steals and 3 assists, one a beauty to Shannon Murphy who had perfect position underneath for two of her 5, all in the fourth quarter. With solid ball handling by Danielle Allocco and Melissa Scott and Deanna Nelson, Summit kept the ball away from MH and ran out the clock. Danielle Scott was the leading scorer with 19 points, and Jamie Osmulski's best game of the season, as she had 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals to go along with her 8 points.

JV Result
Won 35-32 The JV Lady Hilltoppers took the floor in Rockaway tonight and though depleted by injuries and by the limited playing time of one of their leading scorers, still came away with the victory. In a sloppily played game with an unbelievable amount of whistles, the team raced to a first quarter lead of 15-9 as Emily Cristaldi continued her torrid shooting of late by scoring 8 7 points, three coming on a buzzer beater to end the quarter. But she immediately got into foul trouble and it was up to the rest of the team to step up on offense and defense. Mickey Brown and Najla Austin carried the offense in the second quarter, and Michelle Rickley and Deanna Nelson also contributed key baskets.
