Summit took on the 2nd seeded Union Farmers in the Union County Tournament. Needless to say the Hilltoppers were serious underdogs. However, Summit gave them all they could handle and was within 1 point with only 3:30 left in the game. Chris Kehoe had a personal record game with 29 points. In the 1st quarter Kehoe scored four 3-pointers and a field goal before finally missing a shot. In the 2nd quarter he continued on a rampage scoring two more treys and a pair of FGs out of 6 shots. Overall , in the first half Kehoe went 9 of 12 for 24 points. Jordan Healey added 7 points in the half and Summit went to the locker down only 5 points to a powerful, fast and talented Union squad.
Obviously, Union made some adjustments to clamp down on Kehoe in the 2nd half. Others picked up the scoring, but Summit went into the final quarter down by 8 (52-44). Kendal Baker opened the 4th quarter with a three, Union answered with a FG and Healey and Kehoe drained back-to back treys and suddenly Summit had closed to 54-53 with 3:30 left to play. In those final minutes nothing went Summit's way and Union pulled away, but they knew they had been in a serious dog fight.
Kehoe's 7 3-pointers tied the record held by Dwayne Reid for most 3-pointers in a game.
