Summit carried a 7 point lead into the final quarter, but West Essex came out with a hot hand and went on a 10-2 run to grab a 33-32 lead. Jordan Healy then hit a 3-pointer to get Summit back on top 35-33. A FG and 3 free throws (2 by James Kennedy & 1 by ChrisKehoe) offset two West Essex field goals to leave Summit ahead 40-39. West Essex scored the final two field goals to put Summit down by three. With only seconds left Summit got off a trey but came up empty.

For second straight game free throws spelled the difference. West Essex connected on an excellent 18 of 24 free throws while Summit managed only 6 of 14. Healy led the scoring with 14 points. Kyle Mahoney was the top rebounder with 8.
