The Lady Hilltoppers couldn’t have asked for a better ending to their season opener versus arch rival Mendham at a packed Summit High School gym tonight.  . Dominating the action on both ends, fueled by the awesome rebounding of center Shannon Murphy, who had 4 boards in the quarter, the Hilltoppers raced to a 10-2 lead as each starter made a basket.    Summit looked like a poised, veteran team on the floor, leading 19-13 at halftime. Summit opened the third quarter with a nice drive by Alex Reid to extend their lead to 8 points, and Mendham called time.  When the game ended on a basket by Cassie Hall, the Hilltoppers raced onto the floor to celebrate their first victory over Mendham in over 11 years! Reid paced the scoring with 10 points, Murphy and Cassie Hall combined for 14 rebounds, and Jamie Osmulski had three great assists
