Hit batters: Chang(1),Oristanio(1),Lasaracino(1)
Until the bottom of the fifth inning this was a close game. Parsippany Hills scored in the 2nd inning and twice more in the 3rd , one of them unearned. In the top of the 5th inning Nick Orestanio started the inning by being hit by the pitcher. Kenny Miller was safe on a fielder's choice when the Par Hills 2nd baseman made an error trying to force Orestanio at second. Ben Roessle laid down a nice sacrifice bunt that turned into a single when the 2nd baseman failed to cover 1st base. A single by Eddie Hagan drove in 2 runs to make it a 3-2 ballgame. At this point Starter Evan Chang was going strong, allowing only 2 runs on 5 hits.

Things changed dramatically in the bottom of the 5th. Two singles and homerun ended Chang's day on the mound. Tim Cotter came on in relief, but never really found his pitch. Eddie Hagan took over with one out and did a good job completing the rest of the game. When the dust settled in the 5th inning Par Hills had scored 8 runs and the game was essentially over.

Parsippany Hills' pitcher went the full 7 innings and held Summit to only 3 hits.
