The Hilltopper Harriers made program history aby capturing the first-ever major invitational championship. Competing against over 50 schools from the state ranging from Group 4 to Group 1 and Non-Publics as well, SHS came out on top at the NJCTC Bernie Magee Class meet. Scoring is determined by the top three finishers in the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior classes and Summit had the depth and talent to best them all.

Led by seniors, Summit's pack dominated the middle of the race and surged past Westfield's runners en route to a 43-68 win. The team clearly avenged last year's one-point loss to the same Westfield team.
