Things got off to a rocky start in the 1st quarter. After an opening "3 and out", Dover ripped off a 55 yard run to the Summit 20 yard line. Fortunately, Nick Oristanio intercepted a Dover pass to temporarily end the threat. However, Summit turned the ball back to Dover on a fumble on the very next play. Dover quickly made a 1st down at the Summit 15. With 2nd and six Dover appeared to score, but fumbled at the Goal line and Summit recovered. Joe Jaskolski connected for 5 yards to Andre Torres and then a 26 yarder to Matt Rea and things started to lookup. However, Summit again coughed the ball up via a fumble at the Summit 25. Summit stopped Dover on downs. On the next play Summit lost 10 yards on an errant snap and was eventually forced to punt as the quarter mercifully ended.
After a Dover punt, Summit took over on their 33 yard line and really came to life. Dwayne Dabney and Rea alternated on four runs that gave Summit a 1st down on the Dover 23. From there Dabney ran it in for Summit's 1st score. Summit's next possession Summit started from their 20. Runs by Rea and Sal Liberato combined with passes to Rea and Thomas Baker moved the ball to the Dover 32. Three plays later Jaskolski hit Rea for a 33 yard TD pass. The kick was missed , but Summit was on top 13-0.
In the 3rd quarter, Summit mounted another good drive that culminated in a 44 yard run by Dabney for a TD. Summit's final score came when Baker intercepted a sideline pass and raced 50 yards for the TD.
