Summit 7 7 14 0 28
Hanover Park 17 6 8 12 43
Summit took the opening kickoff and drove 83 yards in 9 plays to jump to a 7-0 lead. The drive featured good runs by Dwayne Dabney and Joe Jaskolski and a pair of great catches by Marcel Godino, the second one covering 37 yards for the TD, The Summit fans were elated but Hanover Park quickly countered with a 6 play 79 yard drive to tie the score. HP's Nagy accounted for 40 of the yards and a Palidino pass covered the other 39 yards. Nagy's running and Palidino's passing gave the fans a taste of what was in store. After a 3 and out by Summit, HP took over on their 18 yard line. They covered the 82 yards in 7 plays and again it was Nagy's running and Paladino's passing that did the damage. After an exchange of possessions, Summit climbed back into the game with an 80 yard TD march of its own. Most of the yardage was the result of a pair of passes to Dabney (21 and 26 yards) and a 12 yard reception by Matt Rea. The final play was an 11 yard run by Dabney. Again Summit's joy was quickly dampened. HP took the kickoff and promptly drove for a score. They missed the extra point and the half ended with Summit down 20-14.

Summit had to kick off start the 2nd half. Summit put up a strong defense against the run but on two 3rd and long situations HP connected with 18 and 13 yard passes to keep the drive alive. Ultimately Summit couldn't contain the running of Nagy who carried the ball 9 times in the drive, ultimately scoring the TD. At this point things were looking rather bleak for Summit, down 28-14. However, Rea electrified the Summit crowd when he took the kickoff on Summit's 15 and raced 85 yards for a touchdown. More good news came on HP's next possession. On their second play of the series Jake Hall intercepted a Palidino pass at the HP 42 and returned it to the 10 yard line. A run by Rea moved it to the 6. From there Jaskolski connected with Rea for the touchdown. Summit had tied the game 28-28.

Unfortunately, the 4th quarter was dominated by Hanover Park as they drove for two touchdowns. The final drive covered 74 yard and everyone of those yards were gained by 8 rushes by Nagy.

Summit will likely be seeded 5th in the Sectional Tournament and if so will play an away game against the 4th seed.
