Summit 6 14 7 3 30
Weequahic 6 7 0 0 13
This was a "must win" game for Summit , but it got off on the wrong foot when Summit fumbled the opening kick off and gave Wequahic the ball on Summit's 30 yard line. Fortunately, Summit put up a strong defense and got the ball back on the 20 yard line. To make amends, Summit launched an 80 yard 10 play drive that featured the running of Dwayne Dabney and Joe Jaskolski along with a nice reception by Andre Torres. Dabney ran the final 5 yards for the touchdown. The PAT kick was no good, but Summit was up 6-0. The celebration was short lived because on the first play following the kick off Weequahic's Trevon Ellis busted loose for 57 yards and a TD. The point was missed but the score was tied 6-6. On Weequahic's next possession they were forced to punt but the punt went straight up and came down 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage giving Summit the ball on the Weequahic 39. After a 13 yard reception by by Torres, Dabney ran the ball to the 16 . Two plays later Tim Kane hauled in a 15 yard TD pass from Jaskolski.

Again the celebrating was cut short on the third play of the next series. Confusion in the Summit backfield caused neither back to take the snap and Weequahic's Ellis picked up the ball as it was rolling toward the Summit goal line and waltzed in to tie the score. Summit got back on top when Matt Rea blocked the next Weequahic punt, giving Summit the ball on Weequahic's 20. On the next play Rea took the Ball into the end zone to put Summit back on top. Alex Melendez kicked his 2nd extra point and the score was 20-13.

After the 2nd half kickoff Weequahic ran off two consecutive first downs before the Summit defense forced a punt. It was blocked by Brian Feeney and Summit had the ball on the Weequahic 29. Three runs by Dabney moved the ball to a 1st down on the 9 and Rea ran the last 9 yard to put Summit up 27-13. Weequahic wasn't dead yet. as they took the kickoff and drove to a 1st down on the Summit 10. Two runs moved the ball to the 4. On the next play Weequahic fumbled and Summit recovered to end the threat. Summit got another big break when a fake punt by Weequahic resulted in what appeared to be a 54 yard TD run. Luckily, it was called back on a holding penalty.

Pat Huck quarterbacked the 4th quarter and manuvered a nice drive that ended with Melendez kicking a 34 yard field goal to complete the Summit scoring.
