West Essex continued their domination of the Iron Hills Conference. Their withering ground game was just too much for Summit to handle as they racked up almost 400 yards rushing. West Essex scored on their first 3 possessions and set the tone for the rest of the game. Midway through the 1st half Summit lost the services of Thomas Baker and Joe Jaskolski to injuries and Pat Huck took over for Jaskolski. Summit got on the scoreboard late in the 1st half. The series started on the Summit 40 yard line. On the first play Dwayne Dabney raced 49 yards to the West Essex 11 and on the next play Dabney took the ball to the 1 foot line. Two plays later Dabney punched it in for the score.

The 2nd half was a continuation of of the 1st half as West Essex took the opening kickoff and went 62 yards in 8 plays to make the score 30-6. Summit moved the ball well on their next possession, but the drive stalled on the WE 23. West Essex took over on downs and promptly marched 77 yards in 5 plays. Now the score was 37-6. Early in the 4th quarter Summit launched an 80 yard drive for their 2nd TD. The drive was all on the ground and featured Dabney and Matt Rea with a couple of long gains on 3rd down by Pat Huck.
