Two overtime games in one week is tough on the nerves. Unfortunately, this loss was about as depressing as the previous victory had been thrilling. Summit led Chatham for 31 of the game's regulation 32 minutes. In fact, Summit was up by 5 points with 1:50 left in the game. Chatham scored a FG and then a 3-pointer at the one minute mark. In that final minute Summit had a couple easy baskets that just wouldn't go in and the game went to overtime. The overtime consisted almost exclusively in free throws. Chatham hit on 8 of 12 and Summit scored on 7 of 11 .
The first quarter was low scoring and the Summit zone really shutdown Chatham. Summit came out on top 9-3. The second quarter featured 8 points from Kendall Baker and another 8 from David Newton as Summit built a 27-19 lead. In the second half shots that went in earlier just missed. Chatham began to inch back into the game Chatham out scored Summit 17-11 in the final quarter.
Kendall Baker led the scoring with 21 points and David Newton added 18 points. Andre Torres and Jordan Healy led the rebounding with 7 each.
