Summit set out to avenge a loss to Morris Hills earlier in the season, but the game started badly. Morris Hills started strong and built a 9 point lead. Summit rallied a bit in the last couple of minutes of the quarter and finished down by 5 points. Summit began to get some traction in the 2nd quarter and finished with a 25-24 lead. The Hilltoppers really got rolling in the 3rd quarter aided by 6 points from Jordan Healy and 5 points from Andre Torres. Summit dominated the 3rd and put together an 11 point lead starting the final quarter. Summit's 4th quarter was spent mostly at the foul line. They attempted 22 free throws, connecting on 13 .
Summit had three players who scored in double digits, David Newton (17 points), Andre Torres (16 points) and Jordan Healy (12 points). Healy did his usual thing on defense and pulled down 10 rebounds for a "double-double."
