Summit suffered its second loss of the season at the hands of a strong JP Stevens in the opening round of the John Kowal Tournament at Rahway. Some fine shooting by Kendall Baker (9 of his game high 22 points) in the 1st quarter kept it close. Unfortunately, JP Stevens ran off the first 11 points of the 2nd quarter to put Summit behind the eight-ball. Summit Rallied in the 3rd quarter to out score JP Stevens 18-14 but could never get closer than 14 points.

Summit will play the loser of the Westfield /Colonia game in the consolation round on Saturday.
