Summit started the first quarter sluggishly, but then caught fire. In the final 12 minutes of the first half Summit outscored Johnson 33 to 4. Andre Torres had the hot 1st half hand as he scored 16 of his game high 22 points. James Kennedy with 7 points and Jordan Healy with 6 helped Summit to a 55- 21 lead after 3 quarters. The bench played most of the final quarter. and enlarged the lead further.
Summit had four players in double digits. In addition to Torres, Healy and Kennedy each had 11 points and David Newton scored 10 points. Newton pulled down 7 rebounds.
Summit will meet Union on Tuesday at Roselle Catholic - 7:30 p.m.
