Summit 6 7 13 19 45
Morris Hills 12 7 19 15 53
The story of Summit's sad loss to Morris Hills is partially told by some horrendous shooting percentages. In the first half Summit scored only 5 field goals in 25 attempts. Almost nothing would go down. For the entire game Summit connected on only 2 of 17 3-point attempts, 12%, and shot only 27% overall. Yet despite of these numbers, Summit still had a chance to win the game.

The 4th quarter began with Morris Hills ahead 38-27 and the lead quickly grew to 14 points (43-29). Finally, some shots started to drop. FGs by Kendall Baker and Jordan Healy and two by David Newton got Summit to within 6 points. A trey by Morris Hills was answered by field goals from Baker and Newton, now the lead was down to 5 points. Baker and Morris Hills traded baskets before Morris Hills sealed the deal with a free throw and a basket.

Baker led all scorers with 21 points and Healy led the rebounding with 7. Summit dropped to 5-5 and must now win 3 of the next 6 games to qualify for the state tournament.
