Westfield jumped to a 24-14 lead in the 1st Quarter and never looked back. Westfield let Summit know what kind of game it was going to be when they limited the Hilltoppers to a single rebound in the first quarter. Westfield continued to dominate the back board at both end,. With less that two minutes left in the half Sumit still had only hauled in 3 rebounds. Meanwhile, Westfield took a 36-23 lead to the locker at half time.

Jordan Healy did his best to keep Summit in the game with 10 of his game high 12 points in the first half.
