11:00AM Won 14-11 Undefeated Summit, the No. 9 team in The Star-Ledger Top 20, won its sixth straight to start the season by posting a 14-11 triumph over Morris Knolls yesterday between the raindrops in Summit. Suzanne Bell, Caroline Cordrey and Kate Martino all scored to give Summit a 5-1 advantage, then Nora McGuire hit on a scoop shot in front at 10:42 to make it 6-1. Cordrey, Jamie Osmulski and Kendall Speno, the latter on a runner from the right side, each scored to cap the skein and make it an eight-goal cushion.

Despite the disadvantage, things turned around decidedly for Morris Knolls (2-2) from then on, as they outscored Summit, 10-5, the rest of the game, but never got closer than three goals.

4:00PM Lost 10-9 Chatham scored with 1 second on the clock to send the game to overtime. After two scoreless OTs Chatham scored off a behind-the-net feed with 2:25 left in sudden-death overtime to lift Chatham, No. 2 in The Star-Ledger Top 20, over No. 9 Summit, 10-9.

Summit (6-1) took a 7-4 halftime lead as Jaime Osmulski sank three of her four goals. Nora McGuire added three goals and three assists for Summit. Kate Martino had 2 goals.

sat 05/09 Kent Place UCT Final Away 1:00PM Won 11-6 Nora McGuire, Kate Martino and Jamie Osmulski led the Summit scoring with 3 goal apeice. Clare O'Malley and Suzanne Bell each scored once.

Summit established a 3-1 lead in the first half, but Kent Place had back-to-back goals to tie Summit 3-3. However, Summit went on a 4-0 run before Kent Place answered with two goals to make it 7-5 at the half. Summit ran off the first 4 goals of the second half to make the score 11-5 with 16 minutes left to play and put the game out fo reach.

Wed 05/13 William Floyd (NY) Lost 13-11 Willaim Floyd rallied from 3 goals down to beat Summit. Senior attack Nora McGuire scored three goals and added an assist and Kate Marino chipped in with three goals Jaime Osmulski had 2 goals and Mary Pomeroy, Kendall Speno and Katie Stuke each scored once Summit (17-3) in Summit.

Thu 05/21 Rumson-Fair Haven Semifinals State Tournament Away 4:00PM Won 15-8 Jaime Osmulski hit for six goals and Kate Martino netted three as Summit #6 defeated #11 Rumson, 15-8, in the semifinals of the North Jersey, Group 2 tournament. The first half was an even battle with the score tied 6-6. However, Summit broke the game open with a 9-2 2nd half.

Sarah Weber delivered an amazing 18 saves in goal and Nora McGuire added a goal and five assists. Suzanne Bell had 2 goals and Caroline Cordrey,Clare O'Malley and Mary Pomeroy each added one goal. Rumson is (19-3).

Summit will meet West Essex (who upset Mendham) on Wednesday May 27th in the North 2 Finals.

Wed 05/27 West Essex North 2 Finals Home 4:00PM Lost 10-8 #6 West Essex (17-3) opened a 3-1 lead lead early in the 1st half. But #5 Summit (19-4) pounded out seven straight goals. Senior Nora McGuire headed that rally with three goals and an assist. Suzanne Bell and Jaime Osmulski scored 2 apiece and Mary Pomeroy scored once. So with 6:51 to play in the half Summit had built an seamingly comfortable 8-3 lead.

Amazingly, that was to be the last goal that Summit would score over the final 26:51 minutes of play. West Essex scored a pair of goals before the end of the half and then went on to shutout Summit in the 2nd half while they ran up 5 goals.

Summit closed an outstanding season under second-year coach Rob Grella, who counted four freshmen among his starters.
