The Summit Lady Hilltoppers continued to ride the hot shooting of guard Emily Cristaldi in a methodical 48-33 trouncing of Parsippany. Summit was hot from the start, as Kate Martino and Cristaldi combined for 4 three pointers in the quarter to stake summit to a 15-8 lead. Cristaldi was the lone scorer for Summit in the second quarter, traditionally their worst, and Parsippany narrowed the lead to 20-15. But Summit came out at half playing much better defense, pressuring the ball and trapping at half court. Martino had an amazing 7 steals, and Cassie Hall had 3 and Jenna Wilson 5 steals for the game. Alex Reid did a solid job on the boards with 7 rebounds, and played her usual tough defense, holding Parsippany’s slashing forward to a mere 4 points. And with everyone contributing points in the second half, including Kelly Osmulski, who spelled Reid and scored a very quick 3 points, Summit pulled away for a strong win against an underrated Iron Hills opponent.
