Summit vs New Providence 2/24/2010
 1st 2nd 3rd 4th TOTAL
Summit 9 9 7 14 39
New Providence 3 12 9 6 30
If you look only at the final score you might be tempted to think that this was an easy victory, it certainly was not. New Providence entered the game with their best record in years. They assigned their best defender to remain glued to Emily Cristaldi and she did an excellent job of anticipating Cristaldi's every move. I'm sure the defender was exhausted by the end of the game.

Summit managed only 9 points in the first quarter on weak shooting, but New Providence was even worse, scoring only 3 points. However, over the 2nd and 3rd quarters New Providence out scored Summit 21 to 16 and so Summit entered the 4th quarter clinging to a 1 point lead. Two field goals by Kelly Osmulski, one by Cassie Hall and pair of Cristaldi free throws put Summit up 34-27. with 1:44 to go. A New Providence free throw was matched by two from Kate Martino. At 1:07 the lead stood 36-30. In the final minute Hall, Cristaldi and Michelle Burian each hit a free throw to put the game away.

Cristaldi led all players with 17 points to break through the 500 season barrier with 513 points. Her career total is now 1124 points
