Summit led 12-10 at the end of the 1st quarter and expanded its lead in each of the first 3 quarters. As a result the Hilltoppers entered the final quarter with a 12 point advantage, but then Plainfield came alive. Two three-pointers, a number of layups and 7 for 12 foul shooting helped Plainfield pull within one point (60 - 59) with a minute left in the game. Summit was rescued by the foul shooting of Cristaldi (5 for 5) and Martino (7 for 8) plus three baskets by Cassie Hall and two by Cristaldi in the final period. Making free throws down the stretch is often the key to victory. In the final minute of play Cristaldi and Martino were each 4 for 4 from the foul line to seal the victory.
Cristaldi led the Summit scoring with 30 points and ended the game with 987 career points. If she keeps up her normal pace, Cristaldi is on a pace to break 1000 in her next game. Martino and Cassie Hall scored 14 and 12 points respectively.
Plainfield's Chanel Johnson led all scorers with 34 points that put her over 1000 career points
