In Summit's first meeting with Union the game ended with a comfortable 19 point victory. Their rematch at Union turned out to be a real struggle. Union started fast and took a 10-4 lead in the 1st quarter. Summit closed the gap a bit and the quarter ended with Union up 10-8. Summit rallied in the 2nd and ended the half ahead be five. Kelly Osmulski's 6 points led Summit's 1st half scoring. The Hilltopper's got a taste of next season when they won't have the super scoring power of Emily Cristaldi as she was held to only a single field goal as Union assigned their best defender to stay glued to her. Summit widened the lead to 7 points in the 3rd quarter aided by the fact that Union hit on only 2 of their 8 free throws.
The final quarter opened with Summit ahead 27-20. Two quick field goals by Union moved them to within 3 points. Cristaldi got herself loose to score two consecutive 3-pointers and the lead was up to a more comfortable 9 points. Union didn't fold, 2 field goals, a Trey and a free throw made the score 33-32 with about 3 minutes left. A basket by Cassie Hall and free throws by Cristaldi and Martino were answered by Union and the score stood at 37-36 with 0:20 remaining. Union had to foul and Hall hit 1 of 2 and Cristaldi 2 of 2 to seal the hard fought victory.
Cristaldi led the Summit scoring with 14 points.
