To describe this game as a diaster would be an understatement. Everything that could go wrong did. In the first four innings Cranford ran up 14 runs (only 5 of which were earned runs) on 6 hits, 5 walks, 1 hit batter and 9 errors. There was clearly some discussion about whether specific individual plays were errors or not, but either way it was a mess. On the other side of the ledger, Cranford shut down the Summit bats, allowing only 4 hits and no runs. So it can be argued that even if we had been flawless on defense it might not have mattered. So, put this game behind us and it's on to the next game.
