Kenny Miller Pitched a a fine 6 innings, allowing only 3 runs on 6 hits and striking out a season high 10 batters. He left the game with Summit on top 6-3. With memories of the last time Summit led 6-3 (think Johnson) the Hilltopper fans were hoping for some insurance runs in the top of the 7th innning and they got them. Nick Oristanio got the 7th started with a one out single, Ben Roessle walked and Matt Dewald drove both in with a double. Reid Van Syskle was walked and, after a second out, Jay Crisfield tripled to make the score 10-3. After the runs had scored Roselle Park claimed that Crisfield didn't touch 2nd base. The umpires agreed and Crisfield was declared out. However, the runs still counted. Certainly those four runs put a lot of minds at rest.

James Baumeister took over in relief in the 7th inning. He gave up two runs and left 2 on base when Jack Mulcahy entered the game and pitched the final out.

Matt Rea and Oristanio each went 3 for 4 with each having 2 singles and a triple. Dewald and Crisfield both drove in 3 runs and had triples. Chris Goerge had a key RBI double in the 6th inning.
