Won 4-3 (2OT) Senior forward Sarah Cummings slammed home a rebound of a shot by Clare O'Malley with 1:43 left in the 2nd overtime to send #14 Summit past #10 Johnson, 4-3. Cummings finished with two goals and Kelsey Lees made five saves as Summit improved to 4-0. Summit took a 3-2 lead on a goal by Faith Tulley six minutes into the second half. But Johnson squared it at 3-3 with 3:52 left in the game.

Won 2-0 Faith Tulley scored a first-half goal and Caroline Cordrey added a goal after the break to lift Summit, # 14 , to a convincing 2-0 victory over Morristown. Tulley finished off a breakaway on a perfectly executed give-and-go with Sarah Cummings with 13 minutes remaining in the first half. Cordrey added her team-leading fourth goal of the season when she connected off a feed from Maggie Arms with 9:50 left in the second half.

Summit, which held a 7-6 edge in penalty corners and a 6-2 advantage in shots yesterday, was anchored defensively by Kelsey Lees, who made two saves to post her fourth shutout.

Lost 2-1 (OT) Summit came within 31 seconds of defeating Oak Knoll, but Oak Knoll's Jacobsen scored to force overtime. Summit had taken a 1-0 on a goal by Clare O'Malley in the first half. Summit then held Oak Knoll scoreless through the 2nd half until Oak Knoll connected with 31 seconds left in regulation. Oak Knoll scored with 3:13 remaining in the first extra session to give #2 Oak Knolli the win. The victory is the third straight in overtime for Oak Knoll (9-0).

Lost 3-0 Johnson, No. 13 in The Star-Ledger Top 20, posted a 3-0 victory over No. 11 Summit. The victory avenged Johnson's 4-3 double-overtime loss to Summit on Sept. 21. The schools will meet again on Saturday in the semifinal round of the Union County Tournament at Johnson at 6 p.m. Kelsey Lees made seven stops for Summit (9-3). This was the 4th straight shutout for Johnson (8-3).

Mon 10/19/09 Johnson (UCT Semifinal) Away 6:00PM Lost 2-1 Johnson's penalty shot, with 20:10 remaining in the second half, provided a two-goal lead and third-seeded Johnson, No. 11 in The Star-Ledger Top 20, hung on for a 2-1 victory over second-seeded and No. 12 Summit in the semifinal round of the Union County Tournament.

Johnson took a 1-0 lead on a first-half goal with 8:54 remaining. Clare O'Malley made a penalty shot for Summit with 14:05 left in the second half. The two schools split their two regular-season meetings this fall with each winning at home.

Tue 11/03 Chatham (NJSIAA Sectional Quarterfinals) Away Won 3-0 Summit met Chatham in the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA Sentional tournament. After a scoreless first half Clare O'Malley, Beth Dotten and Faith Tully each scored to earn a 3-0 victory. Clare O'Malley, Caroline Cordey and Maggie Arms each had an assist.

Kelsey Lees posted her 11th shutout with four saves for No. 12 Summit (16-4), which will play at No. 19 Voorhees in a sectional semifinal on Friday.

Fri 11/06 Voorhees (NJSIAA Section Semifinals) Away TBA Won 1-0 Clare O'Malley connected off a pass by Beth Dotten on a penalty corner with 5:20 remaining in the second half to lift 7th seeded Summit to a 1-0 victory over 3rd seeded Voorhees in the semifinal round of the NJSIAA North 2, Group 2 tournament yesterday in Glen Gardner.

Summit (17-4), which has won a season-high eight straight games, will play for the sectional title for the second straight season on Monday against 1st Seeded Bernards. Kelsey Lees made three saves to post her 11th shutout this season

Mon 11/09 Bernards (NJSIAA Sectional Finals) TBA TBA Won 2-1 Clare O'Malley and Sarah Cummings each had 2nd half goals to give Summit a 2-0 lead that led to a 2-1 decision over Bernards in the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 2 final yesterday in Bernardsville.

The sectional title is the first for Summit (18-4), which has won a season-high nine straight games. Summit will meet No. 6 Madison in a Group 2 semifinal on Thursday at Boonton High.

O'Malley assisted Cummings 6:40 into the second half and then scored on a feed from Caroline Cordrey with 18:37 left to give Summit a 2-0 advantage. Bernards scored with 14:38 remaining to pull Bernards (17-2) to within one goal. Bernards' only other loss this season was to No. 2 Bridgewater-Raritan, 2-0, in the Somerset County Tournament final on Oct. 25.

Kelsey Lees finished with four saves for Summit.
