For the second time this season Summit held a lead late in the 4th quarter only to see the game go to overtime. In both cases Gov. Livingston was victorious. Summit got off to a dreadful start, scoring only 5 points in the 1st quarter. However, Summit came on strong in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, out scoring GL 27-16. As a result Summit took a 32-28 lead into the final quarter. In those two quarters the scoring was nicely distributed with Matt Wholey, Shawn Hillas and Dwaine Dabney each scoring 6 points, Matt Rea 5 points and Ryan O'Malley 4 points.

With about 3 minutes left in the game Summit still held a 4 point lead. Over the next 2 minutes GL ran off 6 unanswered point to take a 38-36 lead. With about 10 seconds remaining Wholey scored to tie the game and send it to overtime. With 2 minutes left in overtime Summit was flagged for an intentional foul which gave GL 2 free throws and the ball. The result was a 43-38 lead for GL. Cris Cafiero sank a trey to get Summit close at 43-41. With about 35 second remaining, Hillas followed a GL free throw with a field goal to get Summit within 1 point. Unfortunately, GL made their free throws down the final 30 second.
