Summit had beaten Rahway in their first meeting at Rahway, but had a very difficult 1st half in the rematch. Summit suffered a lot of turnovers, couldn't get their shots to drop and went 5 of 16 from the foul line, as Rahway raced to a 36-19 lead. The 2nd half was played essentially even. Summit did manage to cut the lead from 17 at the half to 9 points midway through the 4th quarter. But every time Summit would make a rush Rahway answered with a run of their own.
David Newton led Summit's scoring with 15 points, Ryan O'Malley, coming off the bench had his season high of 10 points and 6 rebounds. Matt Wholey (8 points) also had 6 rebounds.
