Mon 04/05/10 Lynbrook, Long Island  Away 2:00PM Won 13-9 Summit traveled to Lynnbrook, NY and came away with a victory. Summit had a strong 1st half and built a 4 goal lead at halftime. The teams each scored 6 time in the 2nd half as Summit maintained the 4 goal advantage. Caroline Cordrey led Summit with 5 goals and an assist. Kelly Osmulski and Mary Pomeroy added two goals each and Kendall Speno chipped in with a goal and four assists. Kate Martino, Stuart Humprey amd Megan Paytas each added a goal.

Thu 04/08/10 Kent Place School  Away 4:00PM Lost 8-7 Summit lost a heartbreaker to Kent Place, No. 17 in The Star-Ledger Top 20. Summit out scored Kent Place 4 goals to 1 in the first half, but Kent Place rallied in the 2nd half to tie the score. With only 20 seconds remaining Kent Place fired a shot into the upper right corner to break the 7-7 tie. A turnover at midfield set up the winning goal. Kate Martino's four goals led Summit. Magen Paytas scored twice and Mary Pomeroy added one goal.

Sat 04/10/10 Chatham  Home 11:00AM Lost 13-6 Summit suffered the worst first half in many years as # 5 Chatham rolled to an 11-1 lead. Summit came back a bit in the 2nd half, but the game had been put out of reach. Caroline Cordrey's 3 goals led the Summit scorers. Kate Martino. Kelly Osmulski and Megan Paytas each scored once.

Wed 04/14/10 West Essex  Away 4:00PM Won 19-14 Summit came out hitting on all cylinders and piled up a 12 -3 lead in the first half. West Essex turned things around in the 2nd half, but it was far too little and way too late.

Megan Paytas scored six goals and Kate Marino added four goals and two assists to pace Summit. Kelly Osmulski had three goals. Claire O'Malley and Caroline Cordrey both added two goals. Goals by Mary pomeroy and Katie Stuke rounded out the scoring.

Sat 04/17/10 Milton, Georgia  Away 7:00PM Won 16-12 Summit came out strong and grabbed an 11-4 1st half lead. Milton tried to close the gap in the 2nd half, but the game was out of reach. Caroline Cordrey and Megan Paytas each scored five times to fuel the offense for Summit. Kate Martino added two goals and an assist, Kendell Speno chipped in with a goal and three assists. Clare O'Malley, Kelly Osumulski and Mary Pomeroy each scored once. Saraha Weber made nine saves as Summit improved its record to 5-3.

Mon 04/19/10 Madison  Home 4:00PM Won 6-5 Fresh from a very successful road trip to Georgia Summit jumped on Madison and developed a 4-1 lead at the half. However, the tables turned in the 2nd half as Madiosn out scored Summit 4-1 to tie the game. The, with 2:17 remaining, Sophomore Kelly Osmulski converted a pass from Megan Paytas (who had scored twice) to give Summit 6-3) the victory. Sarah Weber turned back 11 shots for Summit, which won its third game in four days. Kendall Speno added a goal and an assist. Kate Martino and Clare O'Malley each scored one goal.

Home 4:00PM Won 13-6 Summit took a commanding 8-2 lead in the first half and the outcome wasn't in doubt. Clare O'Malley and Megan Paytas scored three goals each and Sarah Weber made 18 saves as No. 12 and third-seeded Summit (11-3) won in the semifinals of the Union County Tournament. Caroline Cordreyand Kate Martino each contributed 2 goals. Kelly Osmulski. Mary Pomeroy and Kendall Speno each scored once.

Summit moves on to play Oak Knoll, a 21-5 winner over Westfield, in the UCT final next Saturday in Clark.

Sat 05/08/10 Oak Knoll
UCT Final
 Away TBA Won 15-12 Summit avenged an opening season loss to Oak Knoll and in the process won the Union County Tournament. Along the way the Hilltoppers defeated Kent Place in the semifinals. As a result you can say they also won the City of Summit Chamionship.

Oak Knoll tied the score at 4-4, with 4:32 remaining in the first half. But Summit used its lightning quick attack to outscore Oak Knoll, 4-1, and end the half with an 8-5 lead. In those final 4 1/2 minutues, Kate Martino had two goals, Caroline Cordrey scored her fourth and Kelly Osmulski sank her second. This allowed Summit to take an 8-5 lead into haftime.

The second half opened well for Summit, scoring four goals in a span of only 3:22. Martino and Mary Pomeroy connected on free position shots, then Clare O'Malley hit on a one-timer on a Martino feed. Megan Paytas ended the run by curling around the cage and hitting a high shot at the 22:38 mark for a 12-5 advantage.

With Martino collecting five goals and Cordrey scoring four, plus an outstanding 15-save performance from Sarah Weber, helped lead Summit to the victory. Osmulski and Paytas scored twice. O'Malley and Pomeroy each added one goal.

Home TBA Won 20-6 Summit overwhelmed Pascak Valley in the first half, outscoring PV 14-4. Kate Martino and Caroline Cordrey had big games, each scoring four goals to pace the Summit offense. Martino also had 5 assists and Cordrey had 2 assists.The victory advanced Summit to the quarterfinals of the North Jersey, Group 2 tournament. Mary Pomeroy and Erika Hartwyk registered three goals each and Kendall Speno chipped in with two goals and an assist. Maggie Arms, Clare O'Malley, Megan Paytas and Maggie Lees each added a goal. Pascack Valley is 10-5.

Summit will meet the winner of the Delaware Valley/Acad. of Holy Angels on Monday 5/17 at Summit.

Home 4:00PM Won 18-2 Second seed Summit took on 7th seeded Delaware Valley and it was really no contest. Summit rolled to a 12-1 half-time lead. Sophomore Megan Paytas came through with four goals and three assists. Mary Pomeroy chipped in with three goals. Caroline Cordrey, Erika Hartwyk and Kelly Osmulski each added 2 goals. Stuart Humprey, Kate Martino, Clare O'Malley, Cathleen Pomeroy and Kendall Speno each had 1 goal.

Summit (15-3), won its 13th straight game and will host West Essex in the semifinals on Thursday. Delaware Valley is (11-5).

NJSIAA Sectional Semifinal
Home 4:00PM Won 8-7 in Overtime. Summit held a 6-2 lead in the 2nd half but West Essex to score 5 unanswered goals to take a 7-6 lead lat in the game. Kate Martino manged to tie the game in the final seconds. In overtime Caroline Cordrey scored in the first 30 seconds and Summit then hung on for the win.
Mon 05/24 NJSIAA Sectional Final vs. Chatham Away 4:00PM Lost 8-5 Top seeded Chatham scored a minute and a half into the game and never trailed again. Summit pulled into a tie twice. The first time came when Kate Martino scored at the 21:52 mark. However, Chatham scored 3 unanswered goals while the Chatham goalie turned away a number of Summit attempts. As a result, the half ended with Chatham on top 4-1.

Summit scored 3 goals in the first 7 minutes of the second half to tie the game at four all. Megan Paytas scored 2 of the goals and the 3rd goal was an "own goal" by the Chatham goalie. In a dust-up in front of the cage she accidentally pushed the ball into the goal.

A minute later Chatham regained the lead on a penalty shot (their 3rd in a row). Two more Chatham goals at the 12 and 10 minute marks gave them a commanding lead. From that point on Chatham played keep away to run out the clock. With 1:30 left Chatham scored again and it was 8-4. Kate Martino managed to score Summit's 5th goal with 46 seconds left.
