Summit was hit by a human tornado in the first half. Brearley's Calello ripped off a 41 yard run on the 3rd play of the game. The run ended at Summit's 5 yard line. Two plays later Brearley coughed up the ball at the 3 to save a score. However, the next time Calello touched the ball he ripped through the Summit defense for 72 yards and a TD. Later, on Brearley's first possession of the second quarter, Brearley started from their 23. Calello carried twice, runs of 9 and 68 yards, to score again. In all he carried the ball 10 times in the 1st half and gained 242 yards

In between those two TDs, Summit also scored twice. After Brearley's first score Summit took only 1:07 to tie the game. Starting at the Summit 42, Tyler Carbone ran for 9 yards and then hit Peter Badgley with pass good for 28 yards. AJ Iarussi took a screen pass from Carbone and ran the final 23 yards for the score. As always, Mike Badgley was perfect in kicking extra points. Summit took a 14-7 lead early in the 2nd quarter on a T. Carbone pass to Sal Liberato. Brearley immediately answered Summit's score with Calello's 68 yard run. The PAT failed and Summit still led 14-13. However, on Brearley's next possession they drove 80 yards to take the lead. The drive was based on the running of Calello with the final 5 yards covered by a pass. The PAT failed but Brearley went to lockers with a 19-14 lead. Summit left the field pondering what to do to stop Calello.

Whatever was discussed in the locker room really worked as Calello was held to 31 yards on 12 carries in the 2nd half and Summit scored three unanswered TDs to put the game away. Summit's first possession began on the Brearley 40 after a weak punt. A 10 yard pass to Luke Stephans and a 15 yard penalty gave Summit a first down at the 14. T. Carbone carried 3 times to punch in for the score that put Summit on top for good. Brearley failed to handle the kickoff and Summit recovered the ball on their 21. Four plays later T. Carbone connected with Ryan O'Malley to put the game out of reach. Summit's final score came after Stefano Stadlinger interepted on the Brearley 40. Iarussi carried to the the 35 and T.
