Summit football began right where it left off last season as it took the opening kickoff and drove 87 yards in 11 plays for a TD. The final 12 yards came on a pass from Ryan Bringewatt to Ryan O'Malley. Sophomore Mike Badgley kicked the first of his 4 PATs with his brother Peter Badgley holding. Summit's 3rd possession of the game started at the Summit 49 yardline. A 23 yard run by Bringewatt and a 27 yard scamper by Kyre Negron quickly put the ball on the 1 yardline. Sal Liberato took in for the score on the next play and Summit never looked back.

Summits next scoring opportunity came late in the 2nd quarter. The drive started on the Summit 39. and was highlighted by 17 yd. reception by Stephen Whitman and a 40 yard run by Negron which put the ball on the Voorhees 7 yardline. Unfortunately a 15 yd. penalty moved it back to the 22 yardline. There the drive stalled and M. Badgley kicked a perfect 42 yard field goal. That 42 yarder was only 3 yards short of the Summit record of 45 yards set by Todd Locovare in 1988, and Mike is only a sophomore. Summit's final score of the half came with 1:23 remaining. A 41 yard pass from Bringewatt to R. O'Malley set up a 4yd run by Liberato.

Summit scored early in the 4th quarter. The TD was setup by a pair of Bringewatt passes. The first a 13 yarder to Liberato and the 2nd a 14 yarder to Tyler Reinmund. The final 7 yards were covered by an AJ Iarussi run, The final score came late in the 4th quarter when a weak punt gave Summit the ball on the Voorhees 25. Nicholas Watt ran for 5 yards, Mike Badgley picked up 10 yards and Austin Carbone covered the final ten yards.

Ryan Bringewatt had a big day with 210 yards of total offense, split equally between rushing and passing.
