Summit met Plainfield for the 3rd time this season and made it 3 for 3. Summit took a 2 run leqd in the top of the 1st and never trailed. Summit got back-to-back singles from Kyle Fries and Matt DeWald. That was combined with a Plainfield error and two walks to produce the two runs. Plainfield scored its only run of the game in the bottom of the first on 3 of it total of 7 hits.

Summit went on the score 3 more runs in the 4th inning via a single by Tanner Fulton, walks to James Kennedy and Joe Weil, a fielder's choice by Fries and a DeWald sacrifice fly. Three more came in the 5th when Andrew Perry's walk was followed by singles from Andrew Oristanio, Fulton and Nick Abbott and a sacrifice fly by Kennedy. A run in the 6th resulted when Matt Scheer walked, went to 2nd on an error, stole 3rd and scored on a passed ball. Summit's final 3 runs came in the 7th. Kennedy got on via an error, Weil walked, Fries singled to drive in one run, Scheer was hit by a pitch and a dropped third strike brought in the second run and walk to Fulton forced in the third.

Curtis Slaght pitched 5 nice innings, giving up only 1 run on 6 hits and was creditied with the win. Travis Barr pitched 1 inning in relief, allowing no runs. Mike Nitzberg handled the 7th and also blanked Plainfield.
