Gov. Livingston took control of the game from the beginning. GL's Logan Kelley ripped off 13 first quarter points and helped GL to an 18-11 lead. The 2nd quarter was more of the same and the half ended with GL on top 37-21. GL substituted liberally in the 2nd half and Summit kept the scoring even, but the final result was never in doubt.
GL's big height advantage in the paint forced Summit to again rely on the outside shot. Summit fired 33 3-point attemps to 27 2-point attempts. However, it wasn't a good night from outside the 3-point line as Summit connected on only 27%. Ba'Shawn Mickens (16 points) and Levi Glick (11 points) led the Summit scorers. Clayton Johnson had a strong showing on defense with 9 rebounds.
