Summit took on favored Oratory missing three important players; Ba'Shawn Mickens, Curtis Slaght and Kyre Negron. Oratory overpowered Summit 19-10 in the first quarter. The trend continued in the 2nd quarter as Summit was out scored 18-6. As a result, Summit found itself down by 21 points. The 3rd quarter was more of the same and the deficit grew to 27 points. The 4th quarter provided a lot of playing time for the bench, including three JV players brought up to replace the missing starters.
When the dust settled Terry Mckenna was a new name atop the scoring leaders with 12 points and 5 rebounds
