Summit played the first round game of the Rahway Tournament without the services of two key sophomores. Ba'Shawn Mickens, Summit's leading scorer was out from an injury to his arm and Kyre Negron was unavailable. Summit fell behind 11-8 in the first quarter but rallied to take the lead at the half 22-21. Levi Glick's 7 points and 5 second quarter points by Tom Celmer led the Summit rally. Unfortunately, Watchung Hills had a huge 3rd quarter and opened a 12 point lead to start the 4th quarter. Two FGs by Clayton Johnson and 4 free throws by Glick pulled Summit to within 6 points , but that was as close as it would get .
Glick led the Summit scoring with 16 points and Johnson and Terry McKenna each pulled down 5 rebounds.
