Andrew Oristanio and Mike Nitzberg combined to hold the Brearley Bears to only 2 runs. Oristanio started and pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowed 5 hits and 2 runs. He turned the mound over to Nitzberg with Summit ahead 3-2. Nitzberg pitched 2 and 2/3 innings of no hit ball to earn the save.

Summit picked up an unearned run in the 1st inning. Sean Guida walked, stole second and scored when the right fielder droppped a fly ball hit by Oristanio. The Hilltoppers picked up another run the 3rd. Seth Ryan drew a walk, stole second and came home on a Kyle Fries single. Another unearned run in the 4th gave Summit a 3-0 lead. David Berardi drew a walk, Nitzberg singled and Kevin Fries laid down a sacrifice punt that was thrown wide by the pitcher and Berardi came home.

Brearly made it a 3-2 game when they combined 3 hits a walk ans a hit batter to score 2 runs. The 5th and 6th innings were scoreless, but in the top of the 7th Summit added a pair of insurance runs that allowed the Summit fans to breath a little easier. Sean Guida led off getting a walk and stealing 2nd and 3rd. After 2 outs, Justin Vitti was also walked and stole 2nd to put both runners in scoring position. Tanner Fulton delivered a single to drive in Guida and Vitti.
