Summit ended its regular season at Johnson. It provided an opportunity for many pitchers to see some action. Iony Bueno pitched the first 3 innings. Will Brenn, John Floegel, Mike Nitzberg and Sean Guida also got some tune-up time before the 2nd game in the State Tournament.

Summit scored first in the 2nd inning. Kyle Fries was walked, stole 2nd, went to 3rd on a wild pitch and scored on Tanner Fulton's sacrifice fly to center. Summit scored again in the 4th as Nick Abbott was walked, Kevin Fries singled and and Abbott scored on an error by the 3rd baseman. Three more runs scored in the 6th. Abbott got things started with a single and Kevin Fries was safe via an error. After one out, Sean Guida singled, scoring Abbott and John Floegel's fielders choice scored Fries. Kyle Fries and Justin Vitti singled to score Floegel.

Unfortunately, Johnson broke the game open with 3 runs on the 4th and 4 more in the 5th.

Summit will take on Raritan on Friday in the quarter finals of the Sectional Tournament. The game is set for 3p.m. at Raritan.
