Andrew Oristanio scattered 5 hit and gave up only 2 runs, neither of which were earned runs. Oristanio threw 119 pitches in his complete game win.
Summit scored two runs in the 1st inning off three singles by Seth Ryan, Sean Guida and Oristanio. Pingry cut the lead to 2-1 with an unearned run in the top of the 3rd. Summit matched the Pingry run in the bottom of the inning. Mike Nitzberg got things started by being walked. Oristanio was hit by the pitcher and Kyle Fries singled to drive in the run
In the top of the 4th Pingry picked up another unearned run. Again Summit matched the Pingry run with an unearned of its own. Nick Abbott led off the inning by drawing a walk. He stole 2nd and moved to 3rd on a wild pitch. He scored on a throwing error by the catcher.
Oristanio started the 7th inning having thrown 101 pitches. He got the first batter to ground out 5-3. After an extended at bat the next Pingry batter worked a walk. The next batter flied out to right field, but a single put the tieing run on base. On the first pitch to the next batter he flied out to right to end the game.
