After 2 consecutive games in hitter's paridise Summit was brought down to earth by a very strong performance by the Roselle Catholic pitcher James Colgan who is 4-0 for the season. Summit was limited to four scattered hits Summit struck out 10 times and managed to get only one walk. However, it should be noted that 3 of Summit's four hits were doubles. Colgan was undermined by 3 key errors by his team mates.

Summit gained two unearned runs in the top of the 1st. Mike Nitzberg doubled and Sean Guida was walked and scored on bad error by the second baseman. Summit added another unearned in the 5th. Seth Ryan had a two out double and scored on a error by the shortstop. The final run came in the top of the 7th inning. John Floegel singled to start the iinning and Nick Abbott double to drive in Summit's only earned run.

Nitzberg started for Summit and pitched 4 2/3 innings. Roselle Catholic picked up 3 runs in the 3rd and another 5 runs in the the 4th inning. Two more were added in 6th off Floegel, who pitched 1 1/3 innings.
