Summit overwhelmed Johnson by scoring 5 TDs in the first 16 minutes of the game. Summit struck in the first minute and a half with a 4 play 62 yard drive. The key plays were a 35 yard Ryan Bringewatt to Kyre Negron pass and 17 yard run by AJ Iarussi for the TD. Mike Badgley kicked the first of his 8 extra points. Summit stuffed Johnson on their first possession and forced a punt. Badgley gathered it in on the Summit 28 and literally ran through the Johnson defense for a 72 yard TD return. Summit's 3rd score came after a weak punt gave Summit the ball on the Johnson 28. Bringewatt ran 26 yards to the 2 yard line and two plays later Iarussi plunged in from the 1. Summit next took advantage of a Johnson turnover on Johnson's 22 yard line. Bringewatt picked up 8 yards and Iarussi gained the remaining 14 for the TD as the quarter ended.

Early in the 2nd quarter Johnson came to life and mounted its first drive. They moved from their 25 to the Summit 16 in five plays only to lose the ball on a fumble at Summit's 16 yard line. Summit went into passing mode and Bringwatt hit Negron for a gain of 22, Will Weber for 24 yards and Luke Stephens for the final 19 yards. In between the passes, Badgley had a nice 10 yd run. Johnson showed that their earlier drive wasn't a fluke when the took the ensuing kickoff and went 83 yards in 4 plays. Nick Liberato blocked the extra point so the score was 35-6. Summit answered Johnson's score when Bringewatt went 69 yards on the next play from scrimmage. Summit would add one more score before the half ended when Negron hauled in a Bringewatt pass and covered 34 yards for the score. The half ended 49-6 in favor of the Hilltoppers.

The second half gave everyone a chance to see some playing action. It resulted in two more TDs, one on a 15 yard run By Colm Dougherty and another on an 8 yard run by Charlie Terry. The fourth quarter would see two TDs by Johnson.

Summit had 487 yards of total rushing and passing offense. Bringewatt rushed for 143 yards and passed for 101, Iarussi rushed for 135 yards. The defense was led by Stefano Stadlinger with 10 tackles. Chris Chaves had 9 tackles
